How we roll

The Constant Performance approach to strength and conditioning can be summed up be two statements. We are all athletes and We are stronger together. These concepts are the foundation for our training philosophy. We are all athletes represents the fact that we all move the same, regardless of age or fitness level. It's our belief that your fitness or performance training should reflect that. This shapes the way we apply the principles of movement science and proper technique, ensuring you reach your training goals quickly, safely and effectively.

We are stronger together represents our belief in coaching, inspiring and motivating our clients but also being inspired and motivated by them.  Developing strong relationships based on mutual respect and trust is our goal. We will always put our clients first.

Our training focus

 

BALANCE + STABILITY

Ability to maintain center of mass, resist unwanted weight shifting and hold sturdy joint positions. The more stable a joint, the more effective and efficient we move.


CORE STRENGTH + STABILITY

Ability to stabilize and brace, which is the foundation of all subsequent motion. Develop support for the spinal column in order to move more efficiently, effectively and safely.


PROPRIOCEPTION + COORDINATION

Spatial awareness between yourself and objects—fine motor skills to carry out a given task. An important component to injury prevention.


STRENGTH

Coordination training with appropriate resistance to handle body weight, project and implement, move or resist movement of another object, or resist gravity and optimize ground reaction force. 


ENDURANCE + CONDITIONING

Improve cardiovascular function and/or metabolic function improving one’s ability to perform. Often results in improved body composition and reduces the risk of developing lifestyle related disease.


HYPERTROPHY

Enhancing muscle growth, resulting in the associated increase of lean muscle mass, and the development of muscle tone.

SPEED/QUICKNESS

Decreasing movement time between distances, greatly enhancing reaction and response time.


POWER

Maximizing movement intensity. The ability to apply maximum force very quickly. Think of it as combining force and speed.


AGILITY

Enhancing ones ability to rapidly change direction in response to a stimulus. Controlling body position to accelerate, decelerate and minimize loss of speed during movement.


FLEXIBILITY + MOBILITY

Enhances the ability of a muscle or limb to engage full range of motion. Leads to more productive and safer movement execution.


BODY COMPOSITION

Changing the proportion of fat and fat free mass in the body, resulting in desired changes in physical appearance and overall health.

Performance Training

Performance training at Constant Performance is designed to create athletes who are fundamentally and structurally sound, reducing risk of injury and maximizing physical performance. Constant Performance will help you reach peak performance!

Sports Medicine

We are proud to be affiliated with, and offer sports medicine services through two leaders in the Sports Medicine and Chiropractic fields. REPAIR Sports Institute and Solloway Chiropractic are here to take care of all your sports medicine needs.

MLB Off-season Training

Constant Performance puts an emphasis on the individualized goals and needs of every athlete during the MLB off-season. Our performance + nutrition plan this year will be continuing to cultivate a fun and dynamic training environment to truly maximize your ability to perform better in-season.

Below is all the information you'll need as we head into the 2017 Offseason. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
